Mouse Macrophage Migration Inhibitory Factor ELISA Kit

This Mouse MIF (Macrophage Migration Inhibitory Factor) sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative measurement of mouse MIF in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with colourmetric detection read at 450 nm in a standard microplate reader. Standards and samples are added to capture-antibody-coated wells, washed, then incubated sequentially with a biotinylated anti-MIF antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the resulting enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance proportional to MIF concentration and calculated against the standard curve.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of <13.3 pg/ml and an assay range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml, with a total run time of 4h 30m. Validation data reported by the manufacturer for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n=5 per type) gave average recovery values of 91% (serum), 90% (EDTA plasma) and 84% (heparin plasma), with linearity data also reported across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in each matrix.
