Macrophage Derived Chemokine (MDC), also designated CCL22, is a secreted C-C motif chemokine produced chiefly by mature dendritic cells and alternatively activated macrophages. It engages the CCR4 receptor and directs trafficking of CCR4-bearing Th2 lymphocytes and regulatory T cells, making it a target of interest in allergic airway disease models, skin inflammation, and tumor-microenvironment research. This Antibodies.com kit supports quantitative measurement of mouse MDC in cell culture supernatants and tissue lysates.
The microplate-based assay is supplied in a 96T configuration. Capture and detection antibodies are specific for mouse MDC and show no significant cross-reactivity with the related murine chemokine TARC/CCL17. Reconstituted standards should be aliquoted and frozen to minimize freeze-thaw cycles, and the kit is intended for research use only.
