Mouse Lysyl Oxidase Like Protein 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Lysyl Oxidase Like Protein 2 (LOXL2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for LOXL2 has been pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are pipetted into the wells and the LOXL2 present in each sample is bound by the immobilised antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-LOXL2 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow is proportional to the amount of LOXL2 captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The assay has a sensitivity of <0.061 ng/ml and a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. It is run on a pre-coated microplate platform arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery across sample types is 80%–102% for serum (average 91%), 81%–100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 80%–89% for heparin plasma (average 84%). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
