Mouse Lysozyme ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, this kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Lysozyme in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an immobilised antibody specific for Lysozyme. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where Lysozyme is captured by the coated antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Lysozyme Antibody is added, which binds the captured Lysozyme. HRP-Avidin conjugate is then added and incubated, after which TMB substrate solution is used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of Lysozyme captured in each well, and concentration is calculated by reading the optical density at 450 nm in a microplate reader against a standard curve.

The kit has a reported sensitivity of 0.066 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Detection is performed colorimetrically using a microplate reader. Components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage conditions of +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The kit should not be used past its expiration date.
