Mouse Lp-a ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this is a 4-hour sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Lipoprotein A in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Lipoprotein A. Standards and samples are added to the wells; after incubation and washing, a biotinylated detection antibody is added, followed by HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

The reported assay range is 1.563–100 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL. Cross-reactivity testing indicates the antibody is specific for Lipoprotein A with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Spike-and-recovery ranges across sample types were 93–104% for serum (average 98%), 86–103% for EDTA plasma (average 96%), and 88–101% for heparin plasma (average 95%). Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 sample dilutions is also reported.

Samples including serum, plasma (EDTA or heparin), cell culture supernatant, tissue homogenates, and cell lysates are suitable, with all samples diluted at least 1:2 in Sample Dilution Buffer and validated dilutions of 1:100–1:400 for healthy serum and plasma. The kit is shipped at +4°C, and components are stored at +4°C (or –20°C as indicated in the protocol), protected from light, and not used past the expiration date.
