Mouse Liver X Receptor Alpha ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Liver X Receptor Alpha (LXR alpha) in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for LXR alpha pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate, with standards and samples bound to the immobilised antibody, then detected using a biotinylated anti-LXR alpha antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution, read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The kit reports a sensitivity below 0.103 ng/ml and a quantitative range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma, with corresponding ranges of 80–102%, 81–100%, and 80–89%.
