A sandwich-format ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative measurement of mouse Lipolysis Stimulated Lipoprotein Receptor (LSR) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm in a standard microplate reader. The quantitative assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a stated sensitivity of <0.055 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. An antibody specific for LSR is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are captured, washed, and then incubated with a Biotinylated Anti-LSR Antibody, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting yellow product is proportional to LSR concentration and is quantified against a standard curve.

Spike-and-recovery performance has been characterised across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix). Average recovery was 91% for serum (range 80%–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions: serum samples showed 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97%; EDTA plasma showed 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%; heparin plasma showed 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
