Mouse Leukemia Inhibitory Factor ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips.

Mouse LIF in standards and samples is captured by an immobilized anti-LIF antibody, detected with a biotinylated anti-LIF antibody and visualised using an HRP-Avidin conjugate with TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and LIF concentration is calculated against the standard curve. The stated sensitivity is 8.9 pg/ml, the product range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml, and the total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported spike-and-recovery values (n=5) are 80%-102% with an average of 91% for serum, 81%-100% with an average of 90% for EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% with an average of 84% for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity is provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C according to the supplied instructions.
