Mouse Leucine Rich Repeat LGI Family, Member 3 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Leucine Rich Repeat LGI Family, Member 3 (LGI3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. It is intended for use with mouse samples.

The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for LGI3 is pre-coated onto a microplate; standards and test samples are added, and any LGI3 present binds to the immobilised antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-LGI3 detection antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is then added, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader, and LGI3 concentration is calculated from the standard curve. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Performance characteristics include a detection sensitivity of 0.041 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Validation studies using serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix) demonstrated recovery averages of 91%, 90% and 84% respectively. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
