Mouse Leptin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Leptin in cell culture supernatant, serum, and plasma. The kit can assay both native and recombinant mouse Leptin and has shown no significant cross-reactivity. It uses a quantitative sandwich ELISA format in which a monoclonal antibody specific for mouse Leptin is immobilized onto microwells; standards or samples are pipetted in, followed by a biotin-linked detection antibody. After removal of unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added, the substrate reaction develops color in proportion to bound Leptin, the reaction is stopped with acid, and the optical density is read on a microplate reader.

Reported performance figures include a product range of 62.50 – 4000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of 2.48 pg/ml, and an average recovery of 102% from serum samples. Detection is colorimetric on a microplate platform, and kit components should be stored at +4°C and not used past the expiration date.
