Mouse Lectin Galactoside Binding, Soluble 3 Binding Protein ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Lectin Galactoside Binding, Soluble 3 Binding Protein (LGALS3BP) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, a biotinylated anti-LGALS3BP detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the enzymatic reaction is visualised by catalysis; after addition of acidic stop solution the colour change is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with the LGALS3BP concentration calculated against a standard curve.

Manufacturer-quoted performance characteristics include an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.125 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) gave recoveries of 80%-102% in serum (average 91%), 81%-101% in EDTA plasma (average 91%) and 80%-89% in heparin plasma (average 84%). Dilution linearity (n=5) across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions was 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% respectively in serum; 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% in EDTA plasma; and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% in heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at -20°C or +4°C according to the manufacturer's instructions and the kit should not be used past the stated expiration date.
