Mouse Klotho Beta ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Klotho Beta (KLB) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay employs an antibody specific for KLB pre-coated onto a microtiter plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-KLB antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

Sensitivity is <7.2 pg/ml with an assay range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported average recovery values from the source material are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma, with corresponding observed ranges of 80–102%, 81–100%, and 80–89% respectively.

Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 is also characterised, with serum recoveries of 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, and 92–97%. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past the expiration date.
