Mouse Kisspeptin 1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this immunoassay is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Kisspeptin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which standards and samples are added to wells of a microplate pre-coated with antibody specific for Kisspeptin. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Kisspeptin Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate, with signal developed using TMB substrate solution and an acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Performance characteristics reported for the kit include a product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <4.46 pg/ml. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with a colourmetric readout, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery averages were 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions was reported as 87–91% / 87–107% / 74–101% / 92–97% for serum, 90–105% / 84–101% / 90–101% / 79–108% for EDTA plasma and 84–95% / 92–105% / 82–105% / 89–91% for heparin plasma (n=5 in each case). Supplied items include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, two vials of lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B (120 µl each), 30X wash buffer (20 ml), sample dilution buffer (45 ml), TMB substrate (9 ml), stop solution (6 ml) and five adhesive plate sealers.
