Mouse Kallikrein 5 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers this sandwich ELISA kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Kallikrein 5 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. A Kallikrein 5-specific antibody is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added and captured, then a biotinylated anti-Kallikrein 5 detection antibody is applied, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow, proportional to Kallikrein 5 concentration in each well, is read as absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The assay range is 78.1-5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 27 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Recovery has been validated in serum (range 80%-102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity has been characterised across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for each of these sample matrices.
