Mouse Interleukin 5 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Interleukin 5 (IL-5) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. The workflow involves a biotinylated anti-IL-5 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate with TMB substrate, producing a coloured product whose intensity is proportional to the amount of IL-5 captured in each well.

Sensitivity is quoted as 6.1 pg/ml, with a standard curve range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery values in spiked samples are 80–102% for serum (average 91%, n=5), 81–100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%, n=5) and 80–89% for heparin plasma (average 84%, n=5). Linearity on serial dilution from 1:2 to 1:16 was demonstrated in the same matrices. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed.
