Mouse Interleukin 33 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Mouse IL-33 ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse IL-33 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for IL-33. Standards and samples are added and IL-33 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-IL-33 Antibody binds the captured IL-33, followed by addition of HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is measured at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the IL-33 concentration is calculated from the standard curve. The assay range is 78.1-5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 31 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Recovery was evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples, yielding average recoveries of 91% (serum), 94% (EDTA plasma) and 94% (heparin plasma), with dilutions tested from 1:2 to 1:16.
