Mouse Interleukin 18 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Interleukin 18 (IL-18) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 × 8 well strips, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance includes a product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.9 pg/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Spiked recovery (n=5) averaged 91% in serum (range 83–100%), 96% in EDTA plasma (range 90–103%) and 95% in heparin plasma (range 89–102%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 yielded serum recoveries of 83–110%, 79–100%, 90–98% and 82–108% respectively; EDTA plasma of 90–98%, 90–105%, 73–109% and 87–91%; and heparin plasma of 88–103%, 77–105%, 95–98% and 87–110%.

Supplied components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30×), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as indicated, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
