Mouse Interleukin 17A ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Interleukin 17A in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The kit can assay both native and recombinant mouse IL-17A and has shown no significant cross-reactivity.

It is based on the quantitative sandwich ELISA technique. A monoclonal antibody specific for mouse IL-17A is immobilised onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for IL-17A, which binds the target during the first incubation. After removal of unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added for a second incubation. Substrate then reacts with HRP and colour develops in proportion to the amount of IL-17A bound; the reaction is stopped with acid and the optical density is measured by microplate reader.

The assay is sandwich (quantitative), colorimetric and runs on a microplate platform. The product range is 15.63 - 1000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of 0.26 pg/ml and an average recovery from serum samples of 101%. The kit should be stored at +4°C and not used past the expiration date.
