Mouse Interleukin 17 ELISA Kit

Supplied by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse IL-17A in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and uses a sandwich enzyme immunoassay format, in which an antibody specific for IL-17A is pre-coated onto the microplate. Standards and test samples are added, and bound IL-17A is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-IL-17A Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate.

After washing, TMB substrate is added; catalysis produces a blue product that turns yellow with the stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and IL-17A concentration is interpolated from the standard curve. The intensity of yellow is proportional to the amount of captured analyte.

The assay has a working range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <6.1 pg/ml. Reported recovery in spiked samples is 83-100% (average 91%) in serum, 90-103% (average 96%) in EDTA plasma, and 89-102% (average 95%) in heparin plasma. Across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, recovery ranges were 79-110% in serum, 73-109% in EDTA plasma, and 77-110% in heparin plasma. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated.
