Mouse Interleukin 16 ELISA Kit

Specific for mouse Interleukin 16 (IL-16), this Antibodies.com sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative measurement of IL-16 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated anti-IL-16 detection antibody, and HRP-based enzymatic detection with TMB substrate, producing a coloured product whose intensity at 450 nm is directly proportional to the amount of IL-16 captured in each well.

The kit has a sensitivity of <9.12 pg/ml and a working standard range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml, and is reported to show no cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants of IL-16. In spiked recovery testing, average recoveries were 91% in serum (n=5), 96% in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 95% in heparin plasma (n=5). Sample linearity across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 ranged from 79-110% depending on sample type.

Kit components are shipped under refrigeration and stored at +4°C or -20°C as detailed in the protocol manual; the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and absorbance is read on a colourimetric microplate reader.
