Mouse Interleukin 15 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Interleukin 15 (IL-15). The assay is reactive with mouse samples and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Detection is colorimetric, performed on a pre-coated 96-well microplate supplied as 12 x 8 well strips, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The procedure uses an antibody specific for IL-15 immobilised on the plate. Standards and test samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-IL-15 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow on addition of an acidic stop solution; the optical density of the yellow product is proportional to IL-15 captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated against the standard curve. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

The standard curve covers a product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of <6.1 pg/ml. Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum (range 83–100%, n=5), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 90–103%, n=5) and 95% for heparin plasma (range 89–102%, n=5). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the reagents should not be used past the stated expiration date.
