Mouse Interleukin 13 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse IL-13 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay employs an antibody specific for IL-13 pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells and the IL-13 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-IL-13 Antibody binds the captured IL-13, then HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate is used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after the addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of IL-13 captured in each well, with concentration calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The product range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml with sensitivity of 5.8 pg/ml. The assay runs colorimetrically with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date. Validation data covers serum (n=5, average recovery 91%, range 83–100%), EDTA plasma (n=5, average recovery 96%, range 90–103%), and heparin plasma (n=5, average recovery 95%, range 89–102%), with dilution ranges tested from 1:2 to 1:16.
