Mouse Interleukin 1 Receptor Type I ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, this Mouse IL-1 Receptor I/IL-1R-1 ELISA Kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse IL-1 Receptor I/IL-1R-1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for IL-1 Receptor I/IL-1R-1 is immobilised on the plate; standards and test samples are added, and the target present in each sample binds to the wells. Following incubation and washing, Biotinylated Anti-IL-1 Receptor I/IL-1R-1 Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of IL-1 Receptor I/IL-1R-1 captured. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

The product range is 78.1-5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <29 pg/ml. The colourmetric, quantitative assay is completed in 4h 30m. Reported recoveries were: serum (n=5) range 80%-102%, average 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) range 81%-100%, average 90%; heparin plasma (n=5) range 80%-89%, average 84%. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit is not to be used past its expiration date.
