Mouse Interleukin 1 Beta ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Interleukin 1 Beta in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for IL-1 beta. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where the analyte is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-IL-1 beta Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution then visualises the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm and the concentration of IL-1 beta is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The kit has a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 6.2 pg/ml. Recovery has been reported at averages of 91% in serum, 96% in EDTA plasma and 95% in heparin plasma. The total assay time is 4h 30m, and the platform is a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
