Mouse Interleukin 1 Alpha ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse IL-1 alpha in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. The quantitative sandwich immunoassay format employs an immobilized capture antibody specific for IL-1 alpha, a biotinylated anti-IL-1 alpha detection antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate visualised with TMB substrate, which produces a yellow product whose absorbance is proportional to the analyte concentration.

Reported performance characteristics include a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 5.9 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery averages were 91% in serum (range 83-100%, n=5), 96% in EDTA plasma (range 90-103%, n=5) and 95% in heparin plasma (range 89-102%, n=5). Dilution linearity data are also provided across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Kit components include the pre-coated microplate strips, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
