Mouse Interferon Beta ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Mouse Interferon beta ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Interferon beta in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for Interferon beta is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and the full assay is completed in 4 hours 30 minutes. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-Interferon beta detection antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader and interpolated against the standard curve.

Quantitative performance: the standard curve covers 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <5.5 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery (n=5) averaged 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity for serum at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97%; for EDTA plasma 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%; and for heparin plasma 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%.

Kit components include the pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilised standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 μl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and 5 adhesive plate sealers; storage temperatures are +4°C or −20°C as indicated per component, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
