Mouse Interferon Alpha ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of mouse Interferon alpha 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Distributed under the Antibodies.com brand, the kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using an antibody specific for Interferon alpha 1 pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate, with detection via a Biotinylated Anti-Interferon alpha 1 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a colourmetric signal read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with concentration calculated against a standard curve.

The standard curve covers 15.6–1000 pg/ml and the assay sensitivity is 6.3 pg/ml. The platform is a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recoveries from spiked samples are 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma and 84% in heparin plasma, with dilution linearity demonstrated from 1:2 to 1:16 across the matrices tested. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
