Mouse Integrin Alpha 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Integrin alpha 1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids, and is suitable for cell lysates and tissue homogenates.

An antibody specific for Integrin alpha 1 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where Integrin alpha 1 is bound by the immobilised antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Integrin alpha 1 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution visualises the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration of Integrin alpha 1 is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The kit offers a sensitivity of <2.65 pg/ml and an assay range of 6.25-400 pg/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4h 30m. Detection is colorimetric. Reported recovery averages 91% (range 80% to 102%) in serum (n=5), 90% (range 81% to 100%) in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 84% (range 80% to 89%) in heparin plasma (n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
