Mouse Insulin ELISA Kit

A sandwich (quantitative) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of insulin in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm, and the concentration of insulin is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.049 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. In spiked recovery testing (n=5), averages were 91% in serum (range 80%-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (n=5) gave ranges of 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% in serum; 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% in EDTA plasma; and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% in heparin plasma.

The kit comprises a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
