From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Insulin Degrading Enzyme (IDE) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for the target, with detection via a biotinylated anti-IDE antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, visualised using TMB substrate to produce a colour change read at 450 nm.
Quantitative performance is supported by a product range of 3.12–200 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <1.33 pg/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes on a colourimetric microplate reader. Sample recovery has been validated in serum (average 91%, range 80–102%), EDTA plasma (average 90%, range 81–100%) and heparin plasma (average 84%, range 80–89%), and dilution linearity has been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in each matrix.
Supplied components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored between +4°C and -20°C as indicated.
