Mouse IL-33 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse IL-33 in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The assay uses a quantitative sandwich ELISA technique in which a monoclonal antibody specific for mouse IL-33 is immobilised onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by the addition of a biotin-linked detect antibody specific for IL-33; IL-33 present is bound by the immobilised antibody and the detect antibody during the first incubation. After removal of unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added for a second incubation. Following washing, the substrate solution reacts with HRP and colour develops in proportion to the amount of IL-33 bound; the reaction is stopped by addition of acid and optical density is measured by microplate reader.

The kit shows no significant cross-reactivity and can assay both native and recombinant mouse IL-33. Detection is colorimetric on a microplate platform, with an assay range of 46.88 - 3000 pg/ml and sensitivity of <8.74 pg/ml. Average recovery from serum samples is 98%. The kit should be stored at +4°C and not used past its expiration date.
