Mouse IL-27 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich ELISA designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse IL-27 in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma samples. The assay uses a quantitative sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay format, with a monoclonal antibody specific for mouse IL-27 pre-immobilized onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, where IL-27 is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for IL-27 is added, followed by streptavidin-HRP. Substrate reacts with HRP to produce a colour that develops in proportion to the amount of IL-27 bound; the reaction is stopped by addition of acid and the optical density is measured on a microplate reader.

Reactivity is specific to mouse, and the kit shows no significant cross-reactivity. It can assay both native and recombinant mouse IL-27. Detection is colorimetric and runs on a microplate platform. According to the manufacturer, performance specifications include an assay range of 31.25 - 2000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of <1.48 pg/ml, and an average recovery from serum samples of 91%. Storage is at +4°C, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
