Mouse IL 23 ELISA Kit

Distributed by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse IL-23 in cell culture supernatant, serum, and plasma. The assay is based on the quantitative sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay technique: a monoclonal antibody specific for mouse IL-23 is immobilized onto microwells, and standard or samples are pipetted into the wells where any IL-23 present is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing away any unbound substances, a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for IL-23 is added, followed by streptavidin-HRP. Substrate solution reacts with HRP and colour develops in proportion to the amount of IL-23 bound by the immobilized antibody; the colour development is stopped by addition of acid and the optical density value is measured by microplate reader, providing colorimetric detection.

The kit has shown no significant cross-reactivity and can assay both native and recombinant mouse IL-23. The assay range is 15.63 - 1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 3.10 pg/ml, and the average recovery from serum samples is 91%. The product should be stored at +4°C and not used past its expiration date.
