Mouse IL-17E ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse IL-17E in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The assay is based on the quantitative sandwich ELISA technique, in which a monoclonal antibody specific for mouse IL-17E has been immobilized onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by the addition of a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for IL-17E, so that IL-17E present is bound by the immobilized antibody and the detection antibody. After removal of any unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added and, following washing, a substrate solution reacts with HRP to produce colour in proportion to the amount of IL-17E bound. The reaction is stopped by addition of acid and the optical density is measured by microplate reader.

The kit has shown no significant cross-reactivity and can assay both native and recombinant mouse IL-17E. Reported performance figures are a sensitivity of 1.22 pg/ml, a product range of 62.50 - 4000 pg/ml, and an average recovery of 83% from serum samples. Detection is colorimetric on a microplate platform. Components should be stored at +4°C and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
