The Antibodies.com Mouse ICAM1 ELISA Kit is a quantitative in vitro immunoassay developed for measuring Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 1 (also referred to as CD54) in mouse research samples. ICAM1 is an inducible cell-surface glycoprotein expressed on vascular endothelium, leukocytes, and epithelial cells, where it binds integrins such as LFA-1 and Mac-1 to mediate firm leukocyte adhesion and transendothelial migration during inflammatory responses.

Common research applications include investigations of sepsis, transplant rejection, neuroinflammation, atherosclerosis, ischemia-reperfusion injury, and autoimmune disease models in mice. Each kit provides reagents for up to 96 tests on a pre-coated microplate, with a standard protocol completed within several hours and read on a standard microplate reader. All components are labelled for research use only and should be handled using standard laboratory precautions for in vitro work.

Reagents are shipped refrigerated and, upon receipt, should be stored refrigerated to preserve antibody activity; allow the sealed plate and liquid components to equilibrate to room temperature before opening, and aliquot the standard to limit freeze-thaw cycles. The assay supports measurement of ICAM1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and conditioned cell culture medium, and the standard curve spans picogram-per-millilitre concentrations suitable for detecting baseline and induced ICAM1 levels in mouse inflammation models.
