Mouse Hypoxia Inducible Factor 1 Alpha ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse HIF-1 alpha in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for HIF-1 alpha.

Standards and test samples are added to the wells; HIF-1 alpha present in each sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-HIF-1 alpha Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow on addition of stop solution. The absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of HIF-1 alpha is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The stated product range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.058 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery and dilution linearity data are reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated.
