From Antibodies.com, this Mouse HPRT ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Hypoxanthine Phosphoribosyltransferase 1 (HPRT) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate (12 x 8 well strips) bearing an antibody specific for HPRT, and employs Biotinylated Anti-HPRT Antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate detection, with TMB substrate producing a yellow product whose absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The reported assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of 0.043 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Sample recovery data are provided for serum (range 80%–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, average 84%, n=5), along with dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types.
