The assay is built on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and uses a biotinylated anti-Hyaluronidase detection antibody together with an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Stated sensitivity is 36 pg/ml and the assay covers a standard range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Reported mean recovery values are 96% in serum, 95% in EDTA plasma and 94% in heparin plasma (each n=5).
