Mouse Histone Deacetylase 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Histone Deacetylase 2 (HDAC2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, into which standards and samples are added; captured HDAC2 is detected with a Biotinylated Anti-HDAC2 Antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and visualised using TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the HDAC2 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve. The assay is reported to be completed in 4h 30m.

Sensitivity is stated as 0.073 ng/ml with a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Reported recovery values across the validation panel include an average of 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Sample dilution linearity is also provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions from 1:2 through 1:16.

Kit components supplied include a pre-coated 96 well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage conditions of +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
