Mouse High Mobility Group Protein 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse High Mobility Group Protein 1 (HMGB1) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for HMGB1 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where HMGB1 is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-HMGB1 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting yellow product is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader; its intensity is proportional to the amount of HMGB1 captured in each well.

The kit has an assay range of 62.5-4000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <23.73 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Reported recovery ranges (n=5) are 80%-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma and 80%-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is also reported across these sample types.
