From Antibodies.com, this Mouse Heparan Sulfate Proteoglycan 2/Perlecan ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Heparan Sulfate Proteoglycan 2/Perlecan in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, is read colorimetrically at 450 nm in a microplate reader, and has a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. An antibody specific for the target is immobilised on the plate; bound analyte is detected with a biotinylated anti-target antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, yielding a yellow product whose absorbance is proportional to concentration and is referenced to a standard curve.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit has a stated product range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <32.4 pg/ml. In spiked recovery testing (n=5), average recoveries were 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Reported linearity at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma.
