Mouse Guanylate Cyclase Activator 2A ELISA Kit

An Antibodies.com ELISA kit, this assay is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Guanylate Cyclase Activator 2A (Guanylin) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. It uses a sandwich ELISA format on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <8.45 fmol/ml and a standard curve range of 31.2–2000 fmol/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. An antibody specific for Guanylin is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Guanylin Antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction is stopped with an acidic solution to produce a yellow product whose absorbance is proportional to target concentration.

Spike-and-recovery data are provided for serum (n=5, average 91%, range 83–100%), EDTA plasma (n=5, average 94%, range 90–98%) and heparin plasma (n=5, average 94%, range 90–99%). Linearity has been tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across the same sample types. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as indicated and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
