Mouse Growth Hormone ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Growth Hormone in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. Reactivity is mouse-specific and the assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) carrying an immobilised antibody specific for Growth Hormone.

In the workflow, standards and samples are added to the wells so that Growth Hormone binds the coated antibody; after washing, a biotinylated anti-Growth Hormone antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm. The assay takes 4h 30m, has a quantitative working range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.8 pg/ml. Validated recovery (n=5) is 80-102% (average 91%) in serum, 81-99% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma and 80-89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed; the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
