Mouse Glutathione Peroxidase 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Glutathione Peroxidase 1 in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with a capture antibody specific for Glutathione Peroxidase 1. Standards and samples are added to the wells, and following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-Glutathione Peroxidase 1 antibody is applied, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm.

Quantitative measurement range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.138 ng/ml. The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader and takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery ranges for undiluted samples are: serum (n=5) 80–102% with average 91%, EDTA plasma (n=5) 81–100% with average 90%, and heparin plasma (n=5) 80–89% with average 84%. Linearity upon dilution is reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum (87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%), EDTA plasma (90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%) and heparin plasma (84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%).

Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed in the protocol manual, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
