Mouse Glutaredoxin ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of mouse Glutaredoxin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. Distributed by Antibodies.com, the assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) onto which an antibody specific for Glutaredoxin 1 has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and captured Glutaredoxin 1 is then detected with a Biotinylated Anti-Glutaredoxin 1 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is catalysed to a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The assay has a working range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <32 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and detection is colorimetric. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Reported recovery values (n=5) were 80–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Linearity assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 gave consistent recovery ranges across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
