Mouse Glucose Transporter 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Glucose Transporter GLUT4 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with colorimetric detection by absorbance at 450 nm and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Standards and samples are added to wells pre-coated with antibody specific for GLUT4; captured analyte is bound by a biotinylated anti-GLUT4 antibody and detected using HRP-Avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a blue colour that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. Yellow intensity is proportional to GLUT4 concentration, calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The standard curve covers a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.058 ng/ml. Reported spike recovery in spiked samples: Serum 80–102% (average 91%, n=5); EDTA Plasma 81–100% (average 90%, n=5); Heparin Plasma 80–89% (average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions is reported at 74–107% for serum, 79–108% for EDTA plasma, and 82–105% for heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date.
