Mouse Glucose 6 Phosphate Isomerase ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Glucose 6 Phosphate Isomerase in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. In the procedure, standards and samples are added to the coated wells where Glucose 6 Phosphate Isomerase is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-Glucose 6 Phosphate Isomerase antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction; catalysis produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of an acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of target captured in each well, and concentration is calculated by comparing the absorbance at 450 nm to the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is 0.086 U/L and the assay range is 0.312–20 U/L. Reported recovery values are 80%–102% (average 91%, n=5) in serum, 81%–100% (average 90%, n=5) in EDTA plasma, and 80%–89% (average 84%, n=5) in heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
