Mouse Glucokinase ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Glucokinase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells where Glucokinase is captured by an immobilised antibody specific for the target; bound analyte is detected sequentially with a Biotinylated Anti-Glucokinase Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate. After addition of the acidic stop solution, absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the Glucokinase concentration is calculated against the standard curve. The reported total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Sensitivity is given as less than 0.054 ng/ml, with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Reported recovery values are: serum 80%–102% (average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma 81%–100% (average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma 80%–89% (average 84%, n=5). Linearity is documented across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for each of the three sample types. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
