Mouse Glucagon ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com enables in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Glucagon in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate where Glucagon in standards or samples is captured by an immobilized antibody, then detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Glucagon Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and the Glucagon concentration is calculated against the standard curve. The assay covers a product range of 23.4–1500 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 17.34 pg/ml, runs in 4h 30m on a pre-coated microplate platform of 12 x 8 well strips, and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader. Reported spike-and-recovery in serum (n=5) ranges 80–102% (average 91%), in EDTA plasma 81–100% (average 90%), and in heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity from 1:2 through 1:16 is provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
