Mouse Ghrelin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Ghrelin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The 96-well microtiter plate is supplied pre-coated with an antibody specific for Ghrelin (12 × 8 well strips), and the assay uses a biotinylated anti-Ghrelin antibody together with an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate generates a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Across a working range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, the kit delivers a sensitivity of <0.042 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Spike-and-recovery in neat samples (n = 5) averages 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (80–89%). Dilution linearity has been validated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma matrices, with reported recoveries across all conditions falling between 74% and 108%.
